TFL vs Champion Shooter 🏆 Who Wins? (Castle Challenge)

Sep 16, 2025
Masterclass shooter vs. Steve

Castle-top clays? Let’s go. We headed to Greystone Castle with the Fabarm L4S Allsport RS and took on a Champion shooter in a sporting clays duel — and yes, we capped it off with a 60-yard downhill castle shot. Here’s how it all went down.

Sporting Clays at Greystone Castle

This was no ordinary day at the range. At the five-stand at Greystone Castle, I went head-to-head with a Champion-level shooter in a friendly but competitive duel. Singles, report pairs, and true pairs kept us on our toes — and surprisingly, we ended up tied after the first round.

Tips from a Champion

Along the way, I picked up valuable insights from the Masterclass shooter, Travis Mears. The big key? Connection. Slow your hands, let your eyes lead, and plan every shot with focal point, hold point, and break point in mind. These coaching tips turned complex pairs into smoother moves — and they’re lessons any shooter can use.

The Legendary Castle Shot

After the five-stand, we couldn’t resist taking it up a notch. Literally. We climbed the castle tower for a bonus 60-yard downhill shot. Pressure was high, but nothing beats the thrill of pulling the trigger with that kind of view (and that kind of challenge!).

Final Thoughts

This wasn’t about gear or scorecards — it was about pushing limits, learning from the best, and having an unforgettable shooting experience. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or just starting out, remember: consistency comes from connection, and sometimes the best memories are made when you do something a little crazy… like shooting clays off a castle tower.
