The Sorix is a totally new direction for Weatherby's shotgun lineup. We love the upgrades and think that this shotgun could propel the Weatherby name way up in the world of upland and waterfowl shotguns. Weatherby Sorix in 12 Gauge

Last week the TFL team spent the day at Pheasant Fest in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Our mission was to talk to vendors and find out what products are new and exciting for 2024. About halfway through our journey, we stumbled upon the Weatherby booth. At this point, dog collars and upland vests were among the more exciting things we had seen so far. Thankfully, Weatherby was there to present what was probably the coolest thing on the Pheasant Fest floor - Much more exciting than vests and collars. 

That thing is the Weatherby Sorix. From what we understand, a lot of this gun's internals are based on the Weatherby 18i which we reviewed last year (WATCH HERE) What really makes this gun stand out is its upgraded ergonomics and functions. As we talked to the gentlemen at the booth, we learned that apparently some of the ergonomic elements added to this shotgun were based on comments that we had made about the 18i in our review. We were super surprised and honored to hear this! Part of that is thanks to you, the viewer! We've created an honest community that values raw, in-depth product reviews. If it wasn't for your support, Target Focused Life would have never been able to achieve the industry authority that it has today! So what are the changes and what do we know about the Sorix?

• Totally new look - The polymer furniture is finished in 3 all-new camo variations that have accent colors that are sponge painted BY HAND at their plant in Wyoming. 
• The 3 variations are "Slough" (tan, white, bronze) "Midnight Marsh" (black, brown, tan) and "Storm" (gray, silver, white) All of these options look amazing but we think our favorite is the Midnight Marsh.  
• The Sorix will be available in 12 gauge and 20 gauge.
• 12 gauge is a 3-inch or 3.5-inch chamber
• They all come with 5 choke tubes: (C, IC, M, IM, F) 
• The bolt handle is now oversized! (Thank you) But more exciting than that, it can be easily popped out, and inserted on the left side of the gun for left handed shooters. This is an awesome upgrade.
• Speaking of lefties, the safety is also reversible AND oversized.
• The bolt release is also oversized. This is shaping up to be an amazing option for shooters of all disciplines!
• One of our favorite new features is with the loading port - they've done a great job milling it out and tapering the edges to make loading a breeze.
• The overall width of the gun is also a bit thinner now. This creates a very sleek-looking gun, but also a gu that's much easier to handle and grip.
• This shotgun comes with a rubber over-molded cheekpiece. 
• The butt-pad comes off very easily with a simple snap mechanism. This is for ease of maintenance in the stock. 
• The SORIX will come with shims to adjust drop and cast.
• The SORIX is built on Weatherby's field-proven inertia recoil system.
• The SORIX has an MSRP of $1,499
