GET PAID TO SHOOT SHOTGUNS!

I'm hiring one person to become my apprentice at Target Focused Life. This is a full-time job, and it's not for everyone.

The Opportunity

If you live and breathe shotguns and the shooting sports, and you're the kind of person who finishes what they start, keep reading. This is a rare chance to learn how to build a media brand from the inside, get paid to shoot and hunt, and grow into a real role in this industry.

What I Actually Need

Let me be straight, because it matters. I don't need another visionary. I have plenty of ideas. What I need is an integrator, someone who can take a plan and execute it, follow through, and get it across the finish line without me pushing. If you're always the one making sure things actually get done, that's exactly who I'm looking for.

What You'll Do

You'll start by helping me create and launch our content, top to bottom. Building the content calendar, coordinating filming and edits, and prepping every launch so it goes out on time and on point. From there, you'll help with all of it: social media, emails, blogs, and the day-to-day that keeps the machine running.

You'll also help plan and execute Shotgun Fest, our live event, and make ongoing updates to ShotgunFind.com. These are real responsibilities you'll own.

Over time, if it's the right fit, you may start appearing in the content yourself. I'm not promising that on day one. It's something you earn, but the door is open for the right person.

And you'll learn the parts of the business most people never see: sourcing firearms, managing gear, email, contracts, and whatever else needs doing. You're an apprentice, so you'll learn by doing real work alongside me.

Who You Are

You are young, hungry, and ready to pour yourself into something.

You're a shotgun and outdoor enthusiast, and you've put that passion into action. You don't have to know everything, I can teach a lot, but you can't be green. If you've barely shot or hunted, this isn't the role. You've hunted, you've shot clays, you've lived it.

You get content. You understand what makes a good video, you're comfortable around cameras, and you have instincts for what an audience wants. Ideally you bring skills I don't have, whether that's organization, editing, design, or web work.

You're a responsible, hard worker who takes ownership. When something is yours, it gets done, and it gets done right.

You live in the Alexandria, Minnesota area, or you're ready to relocate here. This is full-time, some work from home, but on site with me several days a week. You're willing to travel some for events, hunts, and shoots.

The Honest Version

Summer and fall are our busy season, and the days get long. You'll start behind the camera and earn everything from there. This is hard work for someone hungry, not a laid-back gig. This is a full-time position with competitive pay for the right person.

How to Apply

Fill out the application and submit a short video of yourself answering a few of the questions. Don't overthink the production, just be real. Being able to shoot and send us a video is part of the job.
